The firm's specialist Sustainability group - one of the largest in Australia - has been involved in a number of landmark building projects certified through the Green Star, NABERS and international rating schemes, including the Pixel Office Building, which received a perfect score from the GBCA to achieve 6 Star Green Star - Office Design v3 rating. The firm has also worked on two of the three 6 Star Green Star - Office Interiors v1.1 projects certified in Australia, with one being our own Melbourne tenancy.

The firm employs 58 Green Star Accredited Professionals, 1 Green Star Assessor, 3 Green Star Associates, 6 NABERS Accredited Assessors and 2 LEED Accredited Professionals.

The collaborative and fully integrated planning and design activities of our Sustainability and Engineering Services consultants, together with the other members of project teams, provide a platform for the delivery of cost effective and low energy 'green' buildings that are pleasant and healthy to occupy and economical to operate.

Through continuing research, Umow Lai remains at the forefront of environmentally responsive building design philosophy and technology.

The application of leading edge building analysis software allows us to predict and quantify the performance outcomes of innovative ESD design features, both on initial occupation and over the life of the building.
